IntimaLase: Laser Therapy for Intravaginal Rejuvenation

IntimaLase is an initiative of Fotona Laser Technology which is based on photothermal activity without any incision or invasiveness. This laser therapy targets the vaginal canal and allows intravaginal rejuvenation. As per now, the clinical studies with IntimaLase give a clue that it is effective and safe to use with simple and easy procedure. IntimaLase is a patent-pending Er: YAG laser therapy used for a variety of aesthetic and medical issues like vaginal atrophy, urinary incontinence, vaginal tightening, vaginal rejuvenation, low lying bladder.

How IntimaLase Works:

IntimaLase is exclusively a smooth and non-ablative technique exciting the vaginal tissues through thermally generated laser technology. Thus, causes collagen remodeling resulting in the formation of new collagen fibers covering the vaginal mucosal tissue. This, in the end, gives a collagen-rich endopelvic fascia. All these processes involved in IntimaLase, from collagen neogenesis to collagen remodeling, transform the vaginal canal into a tighter cavity.

Targeted Use:

The targeted use of IntimaLase are in the following conditions:

1.      Vaginal Atrophy:

As a certain age of the women brings menopause, the reduction in the estrogen level causes the vaginal walls to get thinned, dried, or inflamed. Many patients are recommended for hormone replacement therapy (HRT) to help relieve the symptoms, but unfortunately, many women fail to respond to synthetic hormones. HRT can interfere with other medications as well.

So, the best option, in such a case, is IntimaLase which targets the collagen in the vaginal tissue and alleviates the symptoms of vaginal atrophy. This condition includes vaginal dryness, burning, incontinence, laxity, and painful intercourse, all of which are decreased or eliminated with the help of IntimaLase technology.

2.      Stress Urinary Incontinence:

Stress Urinary Incontinence (SUI) in women is the involuntary loss of urine whilst coughing, sneezing, laughing, or during intense physical activity like running and climbing stairs. The main culprit for the involuntary loss of urine is the weak urethral closure resulting in an alteration in the pelvic floor region. This is because of vaginal childbirth, obesity, and aging.

SUI has previously been treated with muscular training called Kegels exercises which shows less effectivity as required to be done daily. Also, surgical implantation may be helpful, called Urethral Sling but the recovery time and complications are high. So, a better approach is IncontiLase which a painless procedure and doesn’t require any pre- or post-op precautions.

It targets collagen synthesis in the vestibule and urethral orifice other than the anterior vaginal wall. Thus, the overall shrinking and tightening procedures support the bladder and overcome the incontinence issue.

3.      Vaginal Tightening:

One of the problems women suffer from is vaginal relaxation syndrome in which the vagina loses its normal structural form, keep relaxed, and a loss of sexual pleasure during normal intercourse. The reasons for that are vaginal childbirth in which the vagina undergoes overstretching and natural aging. The available treatment options are Kegel exercises and surgery. The former requires correctly performed exercises on time, and the latter can only be done when there is excess vaginal tissue. But what if the vaginal walls are extremely overstretched?

In that case, IntimaLase comes as a savior with its gentle and non-invasive working. The technique helps to tighten the vaginal canal and stimulates the natural lubrication. The results are awestruck as compared to surgery and faster than the Kegel exercises. Just after one or two sessions of IntimaLase treatment, you would feel increased sensitivity, tightening, and a restore sexual pleasure

4.      Vaginal Rejuvenation:

Vaginal rejuvenation is a vast terminology comprising of all those problems discussed above. Vaginal rejuvenation is a vaginal correction technique that can be done for both cosmetic purpose and age-related issues like vaginal laxity, stress urinary incontinence, lack of lubrication. These problems do not only make women feel unaesthetic but also decrease the quality of life. To ensure a healthy life, youthfulness, and feminine wellbeing, IntimaLase is the must-try treatment option that is safer and effective than Kegel exercises and vaginoplasty, without even a minor cut that is made during surgical procedures.

Treatment with IntimaLase causes vaginal rejuvenation in many ways; you will overcome stress urinary incontinence, dryness, itching, or burning, painful intercourse, vaginal laxity, wrinkled external skin, decrease orgasmic pleasure, and such other issues.

5.      Lowered/Prolapsed Bladder:

As the pelvic floor muscles and the front wall of the vagina together support the bladder. When, by any condition, the pelvic floor muscles become weak or loose, they would no longer support the bladder and the result is slouching bladder that may bulge in the vaginal cavity. Lowered or prolapsed bladder might appear in women after menopause as the low level of estrogen makes the vaginal walls weakened. In severe cases, if the muscles deteriorate completely, it would obstruct the vaginal cavity resulting in urinary problems.

IntimaLase brings the sagging part of the vagina to almost to its initial position and make it tightened and strengthened. When the vaginal muscles get strong, it would help in lifting the bladder and start supporting the bladder again. With the non-surgical and non-invasive IntimaLase procedure, there is no issue like recovery time or any precautions. Many women with IntimaLase laser treatment find improvement in prolapsed bladder and prolapsed vagina and get their self-esteem back.
