What is it?
In our Aesthetic Center, we offer two alternatives for the treatment of urinary incontinence as opposed to the classic types of exercises or surgery. Below, we briefly explain each of them.
IncontiLase: laser treatment
In the case of female urinary incontinence, when it is caused by a pelvic floor disorder, the IncontiLase may be a good alternative. The alteration in the pelvic floor may be due to vaginal childbirth, obesity and aging. With laser therapy it is stimulated to strengthen the contraction and tightening mechanisms to overcome incontinence.
Botulinum toxin type A: pharmacologic treatment
This treatment is recommended when urinary incontinence is due to excessive activity of the smooth muscle of the urinary bladder wall, called detrusor muscle, while medications that help to relax this muscle, i.e. anticholinergic medications, do not work. Botulinum toxin type A, acts intramuscularly mainly at the junction between the orders sent by the brain and what happens in the muscle fiber.
Benefits
Both of the treatments we offer for urinary incontinence have many benefits.
- Both treatments are safe.
- Both avoid the surgical alternative which contains many more risks and possible side effects.
How and for what?
IncontiLase: laser treatment
To endurinary incontinence in women, IncontiLase targets collagen synthesis in the vestibule and urethral orifice other than the anterior vaginal wall. Therefore, general contraction and tightening procedures support the bladder and overcome the incontinence problem.
Botulinum toxin type A: pharmacologic treatment
Botulinum toxin type A has a complex function and acts at the terminal neuromuscular junction. That is, where the motor neurons (which send orders from the brain about movement) and the membrane of a muscle fiber (in this case of the smooth muscle of the bladder wall) are connected. Thus, it allows to act on urinary incontinence instead of anticholinergic pharmacological treatments.
Results
Both treatments have good results rates. IncontiLase is more effective than Kegel exercises, which are the classic treatment for urinary incontinence due to pelvic floor problems. And Toxin type A treatment is an FDA-approved treatment, considered safe and effective.

Post Treatment
In the case of laser treatment, it is recommended to avoid intense physical activity and sexual intercourse for at least 8 days after the procedure. It is also important to maintain good hygiene and avoid exposure to hot water baths and swimming pools during this period. It is essential to follow the doctor’s recommendations to ensure a smooth recovery and to obtain the best possible results.
For Lipolytic Enzymes it is recommended to maintain a healthy diet and drink plenty of water to help the body eliminate toxins. It is also important to avoid sun exposure and use sunscreen on the treated area to prevent skin blemishes. In addition, the application of topical products or massages to the treated area should be avoided for the first few days after treatment. By following these precautions, the effect of the enzymes can be maximized and the results maintained in the long term.
